Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account with Two-Factor Authentication, or 2FA.

Normally, when you sign in, you just use a password. But if someone guesses or steals your password, they get full access to your account. With 2FA, even if they know your password, they still can't get in without a code that's generated by an app on your computer or phone.

2FA adds a quick extra step that makes your accounts much harder to hack and keeps your information safer.

Enabling 2FA

Set up 2FA in four quick and easy steps:

Step 1. Grab an authentication app

Some popular authentication apps include:

Choose one and download it to your device.

Step 2. Enable 2FA

Visit Settings > Profile & Security > Enable 2FA

Step 3. Set up your authentication app

Using your authentication app, scan the QR code on your screen, enter the code provided, then select Next.

Step 4. Save your recovery codes

That's it! You're all set up with 2FA 🎉

It's really important to keep a copy of your recovery codes safe – you'll use them if you ever need to access your account but don't have your authentication app to hand. Download or copy your codes, and you're all done.

Using 2FA to sign in

Each time you sign in, you'll enter your email and password as usual, but you'll also be asked to enter a code from your authentication app for extra security.

Disabling 2FA

Visit Settings > Profile & Security > Disable 2FA if you'd like to disable 2FA.

You can enable it again at anytime.
