Tracking time for jobs
Visit any job and you'll see the total time spent on that job, along with a Timesheet tab detailing who spent how much time, and when.
By default, account owners and admins can track time spent by them or anyone on their team. There's also an add-on to allow your field team to track their own time.
Adding time spent to a job
There are three ways to track time spent on a job:
- via New > Add time entry
- via Job sheet > Add time
- via Timesheet > Add time entry
When adding time, you can enter when the time was spent, how much time was spent, who spent that time and any optional notes – allowing you to enter what the time was spent on, or any other details you'd like to capture.

You can input the time spent in several different formats, which will be converted to a duration.
For example, you can input:
- 3:15 – which would convert to 3 hours and 15 minutes
- 2.5 – which would convert to 2 hours and 30 minutes
- 45 – which would convert to 45 minutes
After inputting a time, choose the duration from the dropdown list provided, or select from one of our preset durations.

Let your field team add time
You can also choose to allow your field team to track their own time via the Field Team Timesheets add-on, which can be switched on via Settings > Timesheets.

Job Timesheets
Each job has a Timesheet tab, which details when, how long, who and any notes for each time entry. You can add as many time entries to a job as you need.
You'll see a running total of time spent above your time sheet, and timesheet entries can be edited and deleted via the appropriate button alongside each entry.
