Creating and updating email templates

Email templates help you customise and personalise the email messages you send most often.

Customising your own email templates is a great way to save time and keep client messages professional.

How do email templates work?

When you send the same email messages to your client over and over, templates can make that quick and easy. When a template is selected the subject, body and any attachments are filled in and ready to send – just make any changes you need and hit 'Send'.

YourTradebase gives you a set of pre-written email templates you can use when you’re doing regular things like sending a quote or chasing up an invoice. You can adapt them to suit your company, job or specific customer

You also able to create and save your own email templates, ready to use again and again.

Creating your own email templates

  1. Visit 'Settings' > 'Email templates' to see your list of templates
  2. Select 'Add a new template'
  3. Give your template a name (e.g. Sending a job completion message), a subject and the message body. Your email signature will be added automatically for you. Add any file attachments you'd like to include.
  4. Select 'Save template'

Your email template is now ready-to-go! You'll see it in your list of email templates.

  2. Choose the template you want to use
  3. That's it! You're ready to make any changes you need and hit 'Send' when you're done 👍

When entering your email subject or body, you can choose to enter tags which will dynamically insert content. Tags allow you to personalise your emails with relevant content and data. Learn more about tags.

You can also setup a personalised email signature that will be added to the bottom of your emails. See Adding an email signature for help on setting up your email signature.
